New producer – Cave de l’Iserand, Rhône – Saïda & Jeff Malsert
Jean-François began planting vines in 2011 on slopes that had once belonged to his family, while still running a wine bar and restaurant in Tournon. Between 2011 and 2017 he had to balance two worlds: rising before dawn to work in the vineyard, and from midday onwards managing the restaurant. In 2017, when he recovered several fallow parcels that had belonged to his grandfather, a symbolic bridge between generations was finally restored.
Today, 7 hectares are cultivated: 3.5 ha classified as Vin de France because they lie above the altitude limit of the appellation, and 3.5 ha in Saint-Joseph, with one third planted to white varieties and two thirds to red.
We are in the northern part of southern Saint-Joseph, the historical core of the appellation, which includes five villages: Mauves, Tournon, Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, Lemps and Vion. The vineyards and the cellar are located on the plateau of Sécheras. One third of the vines are old, while the remaining two thirds are under 30 years of age. In addition to the parcels overlooking the Iserand, a tributary of the Rhône, they also cultivate two plots facing directly onto the Rhône itself. For many years, in this northernmost corner of SaintJoseph’s historic heartland, there were few grower-producers, and most of the grapes were delivered to the cooperative in Tain l’Hermitage.
The Chasselas, Gamay and, in general, the Vin de France wines are aged for six months, whereas the Saint-Joseph wines mature for eighteen months.
Inspired by the work of the Gonon brothers — their dedication to farming the slopes and preserving the traditional landscape — as well as by François Tardy and the supple, sapid fluidity of the wines of Crozes-Hermitage, the arrival of Saïda & Jeff brings a breath of dynamism and enthusiasm. Their project reveals a previously overlooked terroir, with a distinctive focus on white wines, shaped by the openness and creativity of those who carry with them a deep experience of the gastronomic world.

New producer – Champagne Marie-Courtin
As with the Champagnes of Roland Piollot — with whom Dominique Moreau shares both her life and her vineyards — her approach is centred on revealing the identity of the terroirs of Polisot, in the Côte des Bars, by crafting Champagnes from a single harvest, thereby highlighting the character of each year and each parcel.
The 4 hectares of vines are farmed according to biodynamic principles. The Kimmeridgian limestone soils bring the Côte des Bars closer in spirit to the terroirs of Chablis than to the classic Champagne area around Épernay. Pinot Noir finds a particularly singular expression here and occupies a leading role in the estate’s plantings, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
All vineyards come from massal selection and have an average age of 40 years. Dominique’s remarkable sensitivity — combined with an artisanal style of farming deeply attentive to the balance of nature and the quality of the plant material — results in Champagnes of notable depth and finesse.
The Champagnes are named after Dominique’s great-grandmother, Marie Courtin, whom she wished to honour as a woman of the land — enlightened, intuitive and ahead of her time.

New producer – Champagne Tarlant

This estate, founded in 1687, produces Champagnes that challenge time and open new perspectives. Now in its 12th generation, it is run by the siblings Mélanie and Benoît, who carry forward the ancestral work of this family established in Oeuilly, in the Marne Valley, just 10 minutes west of the Champagne capital, Épernay.
The first reference to “still” wines — non-sparkling — already appears in the 1870s, thanks to the initiative of Louis Tarlant, a pioneer of Champagne production and a highly skilled winegrower. Today, they cultivate 15 hectares of vines under certified organic agriculture, distributed across 35 parcels in four villages where their grandparents owned vineyards: Oeuilly, Boursault, Celles-les-Condé, and Saint-Agnan. Depending on altitude and exposure, the subsoils alternate between clay, chalk and sand.
The planting includes all the traditional Champagne varieties, with a predominance of Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (25%) and Pinot Meunier (16%), complemented by Pinot Blanc, Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Fromenteau, and 5% of ungrafted vines.
One of the distinctive characteristics of Tarlant Champagnes is the long ageing in bottle — between 5 and 20 years — before release. This extended maturation makes it possible to dispense entirely with dosage: it is time itself that softens the wines, giving them a depth and complexity that justify our enthusiasm, starting with the entry-level wine, Zero Brut Nature.

Zero – Brut Nature
An emblematic cuvée of the house style, incorporating since 2003 a growing number of minor varieties and a significant proportion of reserve wines. The vineyards are situated on river-facing slopes with varied soils.
Base vintage 2017 (60%) and 40% of a perpetual reserve begun in the late 1990s.
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir (32%), Chardonnay (32%), Pinot Meunier (32%), and 4% Arbanne, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc.
Blended in spring 2018; bottled in April 2018; disgorged in July 2023 after 5 years and 3 months of ageing in bottle.
Rosé Zero – Brut Nature
A natural extension of the Zero Brut Nature project from the early 2000s.
Between 2002 and 2009, this rosé was a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. After 2009, the cuvée began to rely on two Pinot Noir vineyards — one macerated and the other pressed directly — vinified separately.
After tasting, a decision is made on whether to blend the two components, seeking harmony between tannins and acidity. A lively Chardonnay is added, along with two barrels of Pinot Meunier macerated for 15 hours.
Base vintage 2018 (80%): 42% PN, 37% Ch, 21% Meunier, with 20% reserve wine.
Bottled April 2019; disgorged February 2024.
L’Enclume 2011
From the L’Enclume parcel in Oeuilly, on flint soils.
100% Chardonnay, harvested 30 August 2011, fermented in barrel, bottled 2 May 2012, disgorged 2 December 2024.
A precocious year marked by a dry, warm spring followed by a cool summer.
Triumvirat 2009 (Crayons, Sables, Enclume)
A wine bringing together the three emblematic terroirs of Oeuilly:
- Les Crayons (chalk)
- L’Enclume (gravelly stones)
- Les Sables (sand)
With 58% Chardonnay and 32% Pinot Noir.
Fermented in barrel; bottled May 2010; disgorged June 2024.
A warm year.
La Vigne Royale 2007 (Pinot Noir)
A steep parcel (33%) facing south, in Celles-les-Condé, called “Mocque Tonneau”, on hard Lutetian limestone.
100% Pinot Noir, massal selection from 1991.
Harvested 12 September 2007; bottled 17 April 2008; disgorged June 2022.
La Vigne d’Or 2009 (Blanc de Meuniers)
From the “Pierre de Bellevue” parcel in Oeuilly, on Sparnacian clay-limestone.
Massal selection from 1947, 100% Pinot Meunier.
Harvested 16 September 2009; fermented in barrel; bottled 3 June 2020; disgorged 3 June 2024.
A warm year.
BAM! 2012 & Solera (Pinot Blanc, Arbanne, Meslier)
From the Four à Chaux – Sables parcel, on sandy and calcareous Lutetian soils.
Blend: 27% Pinot Blanc, 27% Petit Meslier, 46% Arbanne.
Harvested 26 September 2012, with a solera begun in 2007; fermented in barrel.
Bottled 27 April 2013; disgorged 3 June 2024.
Cuvée Louis Tarlant – Les Crayons 1996
From the Les Crayons parcel in Oeuilly, near the river, on chalk shaped by the Marne — a historic terroir of the valley. A classic “vin de rivière”, producing grapes of slower ripening.
50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay, massal selection (1946–1948).
Harvested early October 1996; bottled May 1997; disgorged June 2023.
A year marked by northern winds that prevented frost and dried the grapes after September rains, allowing a long ripening cycle.
La Vigne d’Antan – Franc de Pied 2006 (Chardonnay)
A vineyard reproduced by layering by Denise and Geo Tarlant in 1962 from three mother vines trained along the borders.
100% Chardonnay, planted in sandy soils in the “Les Sables” site, a steep slope facing north-east and north-west.
Harvested 28 September 2006; bottled May 2007; disgorged June 2024.
Sunny spring, cool summer, warm September.
