To the southeast of Madrid, in the wine-growing area called Argandan, between the beautiful village of Chichón, where the winery is located, Belmonte de Tajo and Colmenar de Oreja, La Maldición was born. And a blessed curse that allows us to drink wines when we are thirsty, from old vineyards preserved from neglection, with varieties like Malvar, Alarije (Torrontes de Madrid) in white, Tinto de Madrid (Aragones) in red, grown in clay soils with gypsum in a region of arid continental climate. Marc’s idea is to carry out a family project using the experience accumulated in other vineyard areas and cut with concentrated and wood wines that impress but do not drink and make wine a healthy, honest drink that reflects the place and easy to drink … which is not easy! The name of the estate refers to a 16th century law that allowed any wine produced within a radius of 5 leagues from the capital to be served at the court of Madrid. A thirsty and real wine!
