Domaine Robert Denogent

Jean-Jacques, Nicolas et Antoine Robert-Denogent
Bourgogne

The farm was created under the current name Robert-Denogent in 1988 by Jean-Jacques Robert with 5 ha of vineyards, but was started step by step by grandfather Claude since 1922 in the terroirs of Fuissé and Solutré-Pouilly. Today, with 10 ha of vineyards, of a very high average age, the farm is led by the sons of Jean-Jacques, Nicolas and Antoine, a crazy and generous young duo, who cultivate the vineyard and their sense of humor in an organic way, also used from the horse to work the land, taking care of 30 plots located in the denominations Mâcon, St Véran, Pouilly Fuissé and Beaujolais. The winemaking done with the minimum of intervention, following the school of the godfather Marcel Lapierre and the long internships on the lias (from 18 to 30 months) without bâtonnage aim to enhance the identity of each plot and terroir. This festive duo and rooted in a family history attentive to the respect of artisanal knowledge and the balance of nature promises lively, fleshy and happy wines, giving a warm and humanistic light to the classic and, at times, austere Burgundy. The current experiences of reducing the presence of the aging in wood makes us believe that wines will only go for the better.
