La Vigne d’Antan – Franc de Pied (Chardonnay)
Vineyard replanted by Denise and Geo Tarlant in 1962, from three vines grown on trellises.
100% Chardonnay on sandy soil, in the ‘Les Sables’ vineyard, a steep slope with north-east and north-west exposure.
Harvested on 28 September 2006; bottled in May 2007; disgorged in June 2024.
Sunny spring, cool summer, hot September.
