Old vines with 30 grape varieties (15 white and 15 red). Tinta da Barca, Tinta Pomar, Rufete, Casculo, Tinta Patorra, Tinta Nevoeiro, Mourisco Semente, etc. predominate. Winemaking takes place in a press with whole grapes trodden by foot and pressed in a vertical press. Ageing takes place in port barrels and cement vats. The average age is 5 years.
