Claudio
Piemonte

Claudio hastily led this historic farm in 1989 with the premature death of his father and represents the fifth generation of winegrowers, in a family located in Bussia between Barolo and Monforte d’Alba, in a privileged terroir that has been bottling wines since 1947. Of the 6 ha initials, when Claudio took the lead of the farm with his wife Nicoletta, today they have grown 14 ha mainly in Bussia, complemented by some vineyards in the area of Cannubi, Castellero in Barolo, Villero in Castiglione Falletto and a little white grape Arneis in Roero , on the other side of the Tanaro River. In the vineyards, no herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used, and the traditional style of Barolo has been maintained throughout the generations, with long macerations of 30 to 40 days, followed by long stages in wooden barrels from Slavonia for 30 months for the Barolo and 6 months for wines with the name Langhe, with the exception of Dolcetto which only ages in stainless steel. The wines reflect the soils where the vines grow, with more structure and volume in the clay soils (marl and iron, in Bussia and Villero) and finer in the soils the dominant sandy one (Cannubi and Castellero) and show the classic Barolo in its most modern version. A gluttonous wine and at the same time profound.
