Tiago started by drinking a lot of wines and writing about them from «5 to 8», balancing between his job as a telecommunications engineer until 5. Travelling, drinking, dreaming, his boat full of memories of bottles from different horizons came back naturally, like Ulysses to Ithaca, to the Atlantic coast to join the youthful feelings of the sea and his attraction for the wines of the unloved Bairrada, reinventing it in the form of Gilda and Maria da Graça. The friendship with Carlos Campolargo led him to enjoy the grapes of this producer (Merlot, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Castelão, Alicante-Bouschet and Alfrocheiro) to produce wines that seek the fluidity, spontaneity and expression of the soil where they were born, with a new interpretation of what Bairrada is, with as much or more respect for the territory of origin. While Gilda has its vegetal and rocky freshness reminiscent of the humid air of the Atlantic Forest, Maria da Graça has the crisp and airy side leaves us in a virgin land yet to be explored. But not only from Bairrada does Tiago live. He returns to his Minho family roots in Arcos de Valdevez, where he built his cellar to launch wines with natural vinification, based on Loureiro, thus creating Raiz. If it weren’t too soon, Tiago joins António Marques da Cruz to create the COZ’s project, between wines from Beira Litoral and Serra de Montejunto, where Tiago is dedicated to the arts of viticulture
