Cascina delle Rose

Piemonte

Farm located in Barbaresco, with two renowned “crus” – Tre Stelle and Rio Sordo, with 4 ha of vineyards, in lands of blue limestone and sandy loams. Today the two brothers Davide and Riccardo run this family farm and produce classic wines from the area such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo and the two Barbarescos from the two crus. Viticulture is natural, winemaking seeks to enhance the purity and fineness of grapes that ripen on poor soils on well-exposed slopes. The style of the farm privileges freshness, precision and harmony. Barbera Donna Elena comes from old vines with ancient clones that reveal a rare depth and complexity while the two Barbarians reveal two different terrain facets: fine, elegant for Tre Stelle with a thin and sandy, powerful and intense soil for Rio Sordo where there is more depth of soil. Digestive, harmonious wines are a beautiful reflection of the nuances that provide the wine hills of the Piedmontese Langa.
