Jean-Louis is not a producer heir to a prestigious past in wine. He was a joiner in the Jura in the north of France, worked in the sector of social inclusion for young people and decided to leave his job to take care of vineyards in the south of France, between the sea and the mountain of the beautiful area of Roussillon, in the valley of Agly that constitutes with Alsace the most diverse area in terms of soils in France. In 2002, it recovered 10 ha of vineyards early in the morning according to the principles of organic farming. The vines are planted on schist soils (one third) and gneiss mixed with granites (two thirds), with a dominant one from Carignan (4ha), Grenache (3ha), Syrah (2ha) and Macabeu (1.2ha), only white grape variety. 40% are 30 years old, the rest between 50 and 70 years old. Wines little manipulated (does not use pomp, yeast only indigenous, little sulfurous). It seeks to favor the maximum expression of the grapes that entered the cellar and preserve the natural aromas, as in your life where warmth, sharing, impulsiveness and freedom animate him.
