One night, the fire that devastated the Dão region reached João Tavares de Pina’s farm in Penalva do Castelo, leaving the house of a lifetime in ashes and burning almost his entire vineyard, in a place where biodiversity and green balance prevailed. While the flames were being extinguished, wine-producing friends from various countries came together to help João and Luísa, offering special wines to create a raffle in support. Many of the wines generously offered are not for sale on the market, they are old vintages, magnums, rare editions, of high value but above all of high solidarity value. With the raffle, we want João, Luísa, Inês, Maria and Rita to be able to restore the vineyards to life, guaranteeing the investment of labour and the time for them to be able to produce again. There are 55 producers who are contributing to this cause, with more than 200 wines that we will be announcing soon, with which we will make around 45 panaché wine sets to be raffled off. For every ‘hand’ of €25 you send to João, you’ll receive a numbered raffle ticket. The draw will take place on 2 December and you will be eligible to receive a package of solidarity wines to toast the renovation of João’s vineyards.

How “give João Tavares de Pina a hand”?

4) You will receive a raffle number for each ‘hand’ you send
5) On 2 December there will be a raffle in which you can receive a package of special wines, and all those who wish will be able to watch the event live in Lisbon (details will be given closer to the day).
6) We will inform and deliver or send the prize packages to the lucky winners anywhere in Europe (EU).
