Touriga Nacional, Mencia/Jaen and a little Rufete/Tinta Pinheira on granite soils with schist and clay stains caused by marine sedimentation. Destemmed, vinification with the skins for 15 days in 1250-litre chestnut casks, until completely dry. Aged on primary lees in these casks for 12 months and in bottle for a further 6 months. No filtration.
